We are delighted to be involved with Taranaki Winter Festival 2023 - It will be an evening of connecting with other growers in North Taranaki, sharing observations and experiences, and hearing about some of the emerging food crops in our region that are currently being trialled.

Taranaki Catchment Communities would like to invite locals to a networking evening at Peihana Farm, Okoki. This is a great opportunity for women in the Urenui, Mimi and Uruti catchment to strengthen social connection, get off the farm and open the door to business growth for AgriTourism in North Taranaki.

Our dahlia bed needs lifting and replanting along with some tidy-up tasks to help us get prepared for the Taranaki Sustainable Backyards Trail that starts on the 28th October. It’s about sharing knowledge, ideas, enthusiasm, and the opportunity to connect with a community of enthusiastic people about living off the land, eating healthy kai, sharing resources, and collectively contributing to a more resilient Taranaki, NZ, and the planet.

Crop Swap Aotearoa was once a tiny seed that fell into fertile New Zealand soil. In September 2014 a bunch of backyard gardeners met in a private house in Merrilands, New Plymouth, Taranaki, and experienced the joy of sharing their garden produce first hand.

Seedsavers Taranaki is a local community wide group that share, swap and have fun saving and growing NZ open pollinated seed local to Taranaki and beyond.
